Any Ideas?

My school system has us teaching culture for the first 6 weeks of school. We don't have to teach it everyday but I'm at a loss for any cute activities to do with culture. We already went over family traditions and watched some videos from Unitedstreaming. I would like to do something fun to teach culture. Any ideas or resources that you use?

  1. Oh, teaching culture can be great fun. Here's a link to some of my ideas for teaching citizenship - Character Activities - most of those have some culture woven in. Have fun!

  2. I have a blog called "Diversity Dish." You can find a wide variety of activities there. I am in the process of downloading documents to accompany the pictures of the activities that we have done as a school and in my individual second grade class. Some of the activities include: a world map pointing out where students are from, Multicultural Book Reviews, Read Aloud Reccommendations, writing letters to famous Hispanic Americans, ect... ect...I love your blog. I really appreciate the fact that you have an entire label dedicated to culture.:)
