Lesson Planning with Post-its and New Treasures Unit

Hello all! Hope you are having a fabulous weekend. I am having a hard time concentrating on my lesson plans so I thought I'd blog.  It is taking me forever this year to get my plans done. I think part of it is due to having to write down the teacher standard for each activity and the student friendly standard. Since most of our standards stay the same all week, this can become tedious so I came up with a great solution. I found a post-it note template on Pinterest. You can find it here.  I printed off the template and then attached my post-it notes.

I used the 2x1.5 template because the smaller Post-its fit better in my lesson plans. Then, I typed up the teacher friendly standards and the student friendly standards for the week. I sent the template with the Post-it notes through my printer when I printed and I have my standards for the week.  I'm hoping this will end up saving me time in the long run.

I'm finished the Treasures unit for "A Harbor Seal Pup Grows Up." Here are some things included in the unit. The graphics from Thistlegirl were just perfect for this unit.

 Plural Noun poster
Plural noun sort
Comprehension game for the main story

And much more!

You can find it in my TPT store or my Teacher's Notebook store.
