New Items and a Big Sale

November 27, 2011

I can’t believe today is the last day of Thanksgiving vacation. Now we’re on to 4 long weeks of school. We don’t get out of school for Christmas until December 22nd. That seems crazy to me but I don’t make the schedule.
Anyways, I’ve been working hard on several new items for my TPT store so they would be ready for the big Cyber Monday sale. Today has been a great day to work because it is pouring down rain and I don’t feel like leaving the house. I’m just praying this rain stops tomorrow so we can have outside playtime.
My next Treasures unit for “Click, Clack, Moo: Cows that Type” is now available and will be on sale Monday and Tuesday. This is my absolute favorite story of the entire Treasures series and I am so excited about doing this story this year. Last year, my brother got married in California so I was out of school during this story. Click on the first picture to head to TPT to see the unit.

I’ve also been working to create phonics cards to place on my walls for my kids to reference when they are writing. The cards are a good size to be seen across the room without being too big. After I introduce a phonics pattern, I tape the cards to the wall near my alphabet. In my county, we use a program called CARE to teach phonics but these cards can be used by anyone. If you notice any cards that need to be added, let me know and I’ll add them into the packet. Here are some images from the resource. There are a total of 86 cards.

I’ve also created a Punctuation Resource pack with posters of the punctuation marks, bubble maps, and games. Some of the games are from my Treasures packs but can be used by anyone. Click on the top image to view it in my TPT shop.

Don’t forget that everything in my TPT store will be on sale on Monday and Tuesday. You can take an additional 10% with TPT’s  special code – CMS28. I know I’ll be doing some shopping tomorrow.

  1. OMG! Are those big-eyed punctuation marks from Scrappin' Doodles? I'd love that from your unit but don't use Treasures. I always love parts of your units. You really should make them available separately for those of us who use another series. Puh-lease!!

  2. The 22nd??????? Holy mack – I feel so sorry for you!!!!! 🙁 That's a long way to go with some excited kiddos. Yikes. We get out the 16th and don't go back until January 9 because we have a whole week of furlough days.
    Your stuff is ADORABLE!

  3. Kristin – I think it's crazy too. We go back the Jan. 6th for an administrative day and the kids come back on the 9th. Way too short a break! Thanks!

  4. Hi! You make such cute stuff!!

I've been wondering for awhile, as I scour the teacher blogs: how can I update my materials with cute fonts and clipart? Where do you get yours, and what's the copyright laws? And do you have to have special software to do this cute stuff?

Would love some insight, as I keep putting off this stuff because it's "unknown" to me.

Thanks!!! I look forward to going to your TPT shop!
