I have a great freebie from this unit. My "Inferencing Song" just came to me when I was in the shower. I thought I would share it with all of you. Click on the picture to download. Enjoy!

Love your inferencing song! :) Love this unit! I'm on Week 3, you know the dreaded Time for Kids week. Any suggestions on how to to make A Way to Help Planet Earth more exciting? :)

Stories From Second
I have to tell you that we dread Week 3, too. We have actually made the decision (well, me as team leader) to move Week 3 to the weeks when there are only four days. It's happened to work out that there is a short week in each unit. I feel better about it. =)

I really don't like the "Time for Kids" week either. We had a dull unit this week too. I try to draw in lots of picture books and do lessons with them. I like Emily's idea!
DeleteYour inferring song is insanely cute!! Our new teacher evaluations want proof of reaching multiple intelligences.. You can believe this jam is happening and I'm putting a check next to musical intelligence!!! Thank you for sharing!!

I HATE those Time Life for Kids, too! Yawn!
ReplyDeleteHey, I bought the Nutik pack and printed it, but is there no "dice" with the sentence parts to use with the contraction dice?
Thanks!!
The dice with the sentence parts is from another unit. I just used that picture to show what they will look like when completed. For the contraction die, the kids just roll it and either graph the results or write their own sentences with the word. Hope that helps!
