Discouraging Day

February 21, 2012

Today, I just had a day where it seems that I couldn’t do anything right. I hate to use this blog to complain but I’m having a rough day. Do you ever feel that the more you give, the more people want from you? It’s hard to keep up a positive attitude when nothing is given back to you.  I had to go to the gym tonight to just work off some frustration.
Anyways, I’ve finished my next set of Morning Work. I apologize for the delay but I’ve been spending all weekend, every weekend, just getting my Treasures units done so the morning work is taking a backseat. To be honest, I’m a bit burnt out right now. If you love these free packets, I would appreciate you taking some time to check out my Donor’s Choose project. This is the 2nd time that I’ve posted this project and I’m really needing a carpet for my classroom.

By the way, I’m so jealous that so many of you have the whole week off. How do I sign up for that? I was hoping for some snow days soon but I’m not sure it’s gonna happen.
Whether you are off or not, have a fabulous week! I’ll try to be in a better mood for my next post.

  1. I hope things get better, this has been a discouraging year for me and I know that sometimes it's hard to be enthusiastic. My favorite pick me up is cake. However, my bum is now showing that pick-me-up, so I am going for Wipeout, which helps laugh off the calories. I appreciate your morning work, I don't do the same reading program but it still works for me. I hope things get better soon if not try the tried but true cure CAKE! You are great.

  2. yes, I do feel like that sometimes and I don't mind you venting here on your blog. . .after all isn't that what blogging is all about? We can all relate to you and so let it go kiddo! I like your morning work and it goes so well with our plans since we too use Treasures. I just posted some fraction cards on my site if you're interested. Go grab some for yourself and maybe that will perk up your heart a bit!
