Well, the end of the year behavior is here. It’s been here for a while but this week it has really hit. I feel myself constantly saying, “Only 10 more days..only 10 more days.” I had all these fun things planned out to do but the behavior and cramming in our last math units are kinda getting in the way.
We’ve been doing activities from the fabulous Cara Carroll’s camping unit. Let me just say that this unit is AH-MAH-ZING! So fun!
Yesterday, we focused on bears in between all the math lessons and testing. We did the fun craft from Cara’s unit and read a few books about bears. After we read some nonfiction books about bears, we filled out this chart.

I found some camping clip art from DJ Inkers on my computer so I had to
make a few things. Do you ever forget about what clipart you have?
Maybe that’s a sign of a clipart obsession.
We also made a class book about what would happen if we ran into a bear. These were so funny! Several of the kids said that they would call animal control.Umm, yeah, I don’t think that would cross my mind at the time.

Tomorrow is tie-dye day and I am so worried about this new way we are tie-dying. I’m afraid I won’t have enough paint or it won’t look good when we are done. Anyone have any tips??
This unit looks like such fun! I will have to check it out!

This unit looks fun. You are a very brave woman to attempt tie-dye at this time of the year. Good luck and best wishes.
