I am linking up the the amazing Kristen and her Summer Shopping Linky party. What a fun idea!
It seems like one of the big things that I do during the summer is shopping for my classroom because who has time during the year. Here’s a few things that I have purchased for my new owl classroom:
Colorful baskets for my classroom library from Really Good Stuff
Stuffed owls for my new owl theme — the one on the left is from Polka Dot Market and the one on the right is from Kirklands
Adorable owl storage bins from Target
Hanging lanterns from Polka Dot Market
Adorable owl burlap door hanger from All Unique Things on Etsy
Two books that I need to read — “Mentor Texts: Teaching Writing Through Children’s Literature K-6” by Lynne R. Dorfman and Rose Cappelli and “Math Work Stations” by Debbie Diller
My amazing plan book from Erin Condren — my life planner should be here soon!
Thanks for hosting Kristin! I can’t wait to see what everyone else has purchased this month.
I'm doing owls too and I MUST head to Target now to get that owl storage bin!! Ahhh-dorable!

I have the Mentor Text too and I'm going to start reading/blogging about it tomorrow. I have previously read it for grad school but want to read it again. It is a great book. I'm also going to get some new baskets from Really Good Stuff. They have such great materials.
Ohmyword, I love all of your owl items!! I hope you post pictures of your owl classroom once it is set up. Too cute!

I have Math Work Station and I really love the book. My school doesn't do math stations, but Debbie Diller explains how to organize your materials and play tons of math games. I love it!

Ah! I had saved the Erin Condren life planner website and I've been checking it every day for the past few weeks–it has been saying the 12-13 planner will be available mid-June…looks like she made a new page for 2012-2013. So glad you mentioned it! I've been waiting to order mine and now I can 🙂
first off…THANK YOU for talking about that life planner. I thought I pinned it but I didn't and so forgot the name if her store! Thank you!
Second…those owls are soooo cute! You should check out Pier 1. I was in there today and they had the cutest owl stuff:)
