  1. Math is not my strength and I am working at improving this skill. I love to teach fractions though. It's so much fun to bring in items for them to separate such as M&M's, Hershey bar or make their own food out of playdough and cut with plastic knives.

  5. I LOVE teaching measurement! There are so many hands-on activities that we do to learn about measurement, and my students really enjoy doing those. They think it's hilarious when they can measure the teacher!! πŸ™‚

  6. I love the 3D shapes lesson because I use toothpicks and marshmallows with the kids instead of straws and twist ties like our EDM books suggest. Of course, we have to eat some when we're done making shapes. :o)

  7. I love teaching symmetry and rotations, reflections and translations. At the end of the unit we use Pixie to create our own tessellations using all of our new skills. The kids love it (and so do I)!

  8. fractions! love helping the kids understand parts of a whole- always a link with food so that makes it extra fun ( ice cream scoops, pizza slices, chocolate bar pieces…yummo)
