Monday Made It

I'm linking up with Tara for her Monday Made It series. Be sure to check out the amazing ideas found in this linky party.

I'm also linking up with Miss Nelson for her Erin Condren giveaway.

I got motivated yesterday and worked on making some things for my classroom. I have been working on making over my plain stool all week. It has required many coats of paint.

This is what I started with. I spray painted the entire thing a blue-green color.
Then I painted the top pink. I found this owl image on a gift bag at Target. I cut it out and then mod podged it onto the top of the stool. Sorry for the terrible picture quality. My camera is acting up again so I'm using my cell phone.

I added some decorative tape to the outer edge of the stool and then mod podged it onto the stool.

I also started working on my "Pick Me" pot. I bought a little garden pot for it but it was too large for the sticks so I'm going to use one of those little buckets from the dollar spot at Target. If you want to make these too, check out Mrs. Cupcakes blog post. Best of all, it's a freebie!

I also got my alphabet printed and laminated. I love love love this one from Kristen at Ladybug Teacher Files. It was exactly what I was looking for. Check it out here.
I got my specials signs from Kristen too. Her bright and clear series is amazing! I can't wait to see what she comes out with next. Check it out here.

  13. I love the chair! So here's something funny/sad...I thought my account had been spammed because I had almost 2,000 page views today. (I usually have a measly 40 on a good day...ha.) I discovered most of my "traffic" was due to you posting my Brownie points pack on Pinterest! (What a relief!) Thanks a bunch!! :)

I am probably not the best teacher to have a stool for my teacher chair - I could see myself tumbling off backwards. :0
