I’m linking up the the Cameo linky party to show what I have been making with my Cameo. If you don’t have one, you can sign up to win one and see other teacher’s great ideas. I’ve already learned so much!
I’ve been busy creating things for my classroom with my new Cameo for the last few days. I was a bit intimidated at first because I had no clue how to work one. Once I watched a few videos on YouTube, I got the hang of it. If you do get a Cameo, I really recommend searching for videos because it was good for me to see exactly how to get it ready and cut.
I’ve stuck to cutting letters and simple shapes so far. The advanced things that I see on the craft blogs are above me right now.
Here’s a few things I have made:
I found this great big file box at The Container Store. I was looking for a big one to store their writing for the year. This one is just perfect and will hold all their writings without them getting too messed up.
I made a No Name Papers board after I saw one on Pinterest. I used a wooden rectangle I got at Hobby Lobby and some small clothespins. I painted them yellow. (Excuse the glue on the bottom. I took a picture while it was drying.) I cut out the letters and polka dots using my Silhouette. I found these great stickers that I had been wanting to use and stuck them on top of the polka dots. I’m not sure if I like it better with or without the stickers.
Courtney,
Did you use vinyl for your letters or just regular paper?
I recently got a cameo too, and have a lot to learn too!

The book hospital is adorable and I LOVE the lettering and colors you chose. This is probably a stupid question, but do you use certain fonts that come with the machine? It's very impressive! Good luck tomorrow with your inservice!

I made a book hospital last year but seeing yours makes me think mine needs a serious face lift. I would love love LOVE a Cameo!! Your project are all adorable!
