Five for Friday

January 25, 2013
It’s time for Five for Friday.
I spent some of Sunday and Monday printing and laminating my Valentine’s centers. It’s good to get a little bit ahead!

I’ve been trying to organize my house and I found this great solution for cleaning products. I got a shower rod with springs that is sturdy and I am using it to hang the bottles with handles. It freed up quite a bit of space.

I was craving chocolate this week so I made a chocolate cake in the microwave. Have you ever done this? It’s so easy and it actually turns out really moist. I have a Pampered Chef deep covered baker that works great. You just combine all your cake ingredients like normal and put little spoonfuls of icing on top of the batter. It cooks for around 10 minutes and you have a great cake.

I found something new that I love. I’m from the South so I love tea. I think you have to if you are from the South. I just hate making tea. I can never get it to taste like my mom’s. I don’t like my tea very sweet and I can never get the right amount of sweetness. I found Honst tea (love the name) at a few local supermarkets. This flavor wasn’t my favorite but I’ve loved all the others. I’ve also got a lemonade one that I haven’t tried yet. I really loved the Black Forest Berry and the Peach White Tea. I’ve got several others to try. Best of all, it’s organic and very low in calories because it’s not very sweet.

We had an ice storm today so no school. That’s two Fridays in a row that we’ve been off.  It was nice because we knew last night that we wouldn’t have school today. I have a meeting on Monday so I had to get ready for a sub. It was a little rushed getting things ready but I feel so much better since I did.
If you can tell from the picture, we had quite a bit of ice. This is a chair on my porch that is completely covered in ice. It was a treacherous day to be on the roads so I’ve just stayed home and relaxed.
Have a great weekend friends!
