I have been at a loss with what to blog about lately. The end of school was crazy with me being sick and having so much to do. Thankfully, I am now off for the summer so I thought I would start weekly feature about books.
I am a huge children’s literature fan. The Scholastic warehouse near me had a big sale recently and I am a sucker for new books. I saw this book by Mo Willems there and just had to get it. I love the Pigeon books and I knew my kiddos would like this one.

This book is kind of set up like an old silent movie with the illustrations on one page and the words on the next page. This book has very simple text so it would be great for predicting, making inferences, and drawing conclusions.
I’ve made some freebies to go with this book. Click on the image below to grab the freebies.

If you are looking for a good read for summer, I just finished reading “And the Mountains Echoed.” It was an amazing book! I couldn’t put it down and I was sad when it was over. I highly recommend it! I borrowed it from my local library and I loved it so much that I went out and bought it when I was finished.

I went to the warehouse sale recently too! I always spend too much when I go, but it's always so worth it! 😉

I am just now starting to piece together what books I want to use for read aloud lessons and for my classroom library so I will definitely have to keep an eye out for this book. Love Mo Willems!

I was debating whether or not to buy this in my Kindle. So you just convinced me to dive in to this book. Thanks!
