Bookworms: “Three Hens and a Peacock”

June 7, 2013

This week, I am going to be focusing on another cute book that I got at the Scholastic sale. This book is from Lester Laminack. He has been to speak at my school several times and has lots of great books.

In this book, the three chickens are tired of the peacock getting all the attention while they do all the work so they decide to switch places.
I’ve created some freebies for this book. As always, please leave me a comment if you grab a copy.
If you are looking for a book to read, I would recommend “Wedding Night: A Novel” by Sophie Kinsella. If you like her Shopaholic books, then you will like this one. She has the same quirky writing style and is very funny. This is definitely a great beach read.
Enjoy your weekend!

  1. Love this weekly idea! You should make it a linky party, I'd start participating! I have this book also and read it unplanned one day and we loved it! Such a cute book!

  2. Thank you for the recommendation and the freebie. I keep saying that I'm not going to buy one more book, than another great book comes along!

  3. Courtney you're the best! I was just looking for a good beach read adn have heard great things about Kinsella. Ever think of doing a bookworm linky once or twice this summer? I'd totally be in! 🙂
