Back to School Literacy Centers

July 9, 2013
Can you believe it’s already July? Where is the summer going? I went on vacation last week and had a completely miserable time.
This happened on my first day:
Yeah, I’m just that good. I thought I had sprained both my ankles but my left one wasn’t getting any better. I went to the orthopedic doctor yesterday after I got back in town and they found a fracture. So, besides never getting down to the beach, I did read quite a bit. I’m glad to be home!
I’m just glad that I didn’t mess up my knee when I landed on it. I had surgery on my left knee three summers ago and was on crutches for over four months. I spent the entire summer in a brace from my thigh to my ankle that was locked in place. It’s hard to anything without being able to bend your knee. This fractured ankle is so much better than that. I’m just going to miss doing spin class for a few weeks.
I started my Back to School literacy centers before I left for the beach and finished them this morning. They are now in my TPT shop. There are 10 total centers and they are designed to be a review of some first grade skills. My other centers are designed in the exact same way so each month will be an easy transition.

Best of all, I’ve decided to put them on sale for today only. All of my center packs are 20% off until midnight (eastern) tonight.

  2. Aw no! What an awful way to spend your vacay! Especially since that's what I know us teachers look forward to in the summer! Wishing you a speedy recovery! Guess you have time to keep making your awesome centers? 🙂
