This week, my grade level is testing on Monday and Tuesday. Anyone else feel like they are constantly giving tests? This is not the best time of year to give a serious test because the kids are crazy. Just 2 more weeks, right?
In this week's plans, I have an inferencing freebie for the book, "Merry Christmas, Big Hungry Bear!"
This is a great book for inferencing because the text is kinda sparse and the kids have to use picture clues and what they know to make inferences about the Little Mouse's actions.
As always, click on the visual plans above to download. (Be sure to just click "Download" because they have already been shared.) After you download, the links will be active.
For reading groups, I am using these wonderful comprehension pages by Halle and 24/7 Teacher.
For unit this week and next week, I am using Lyndsey's amazing Holidays Around the World unit. It is so well laid out and the kiddos will love it. There are so many countries included that I am going to double up on them next week and still not get all of them done.
Sometime we also have to finish our bird research and bird flip-flap book from Anna. I have to admit that birds freak me out but I love the learning that we have been doing on birds.
I'm linking up with Mrs. Wills Kindergarten to share my visual plans.
I hope you are having a good weekend! It is raining nonstop here and will be until Tuesday. We finally had a break from the rain yesterday and I ran errands all day before seeing the musical "Memphis" last night. Oh my word! It was amazing! It was one of the best musicals that I have seen.
What are you up to this weekend?
