I would like to read about Einstein with my class. I think his personal difficulties and differences would make connections with some of my kiddos and help all of them be more accepting of others.
Before long our class will be learning about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.

I teach special needs students, and I would love for them to read/learn about Helen Keller. She was my hero growing up, and I want my students to see that their disabilities will not be able to hold them down.
I would love to learn more about women engineers and scientists. I hope to inspire some of my female students that they can do anything if they work hard enough.

My students love to study MLK, Jr. We do a biography/hero project in the spring, so we'll be studying several important historical figures in the next few weeks.
