Five for Friday: April 3

April 4, 2015

Welcome back! It’s been a while since I’ve posted. I’ve been busy moving to my new house and all that entails. I had today off for Good Friday so this is a perfect time to catch up with you.

We made these Arnie the Doughnuts last week when we were studying character traits. I LOVE how these turned out! You can get a free minilesson with Arnie the Doughnut in my TPT store. Click here to download.
We finished our unit on telling time this week.
This huge time mat from Learning Resources was great practice and my students loved using it.
We used the Time Tutor pack from The Queen of the First Grade Jungle.
We also playing some games from Amy Lemons’ “It’s About Time” unit.

On Monday night, I stared at my computer for hours trying to get a video to download for a professional development the next afternoon. I was slowly going crazy because it was taking way too long. It finally worked but it was way past my bedtime. So glad that’s over with!

We’ve been reviewing contractions this week so we made this cute contraction crocodiles from Cara Carroll. They turned out really cute and really showed me who knows their contractions.

I made this yummy Chicken Enchilada Pasta from Cara Carroll’s home blog “Pearls, Handcuffs, and Happy Hour.” It was so good and really easy to make. It had rave reviews from my friends and family. It will be going on my regular dinner rotation.

Have a great night! It’s a stormy night here in Tennessee so I’m planning on watching some movies.

  1. I certainly have a love-hate relationship with technology. Sometimes it can be so frustrating. I am learning a lot about technology lately though.
